Plotting & interpreting motion graphs.  Kinematic equations of motion.


VECTORS: adding displacements,                   relative velocities, changes in velocity vectors, measuring and mathematical techniques.


FORCES: Newton's 3 Laws (Inertia, F = ma, action / reaction). 

Force vectors, free-body force diagrams, 

Free fall under gravity.


PROJECTILE MOTION: predicting the motion of cricket balls & cannon balls using components in vertical & horizontal directions.


CIRCULAR MOTION: explaining & predicting the motion of turning cars, orbiting satellites Equations for constant speed (but changing velocity), centripetal acceleration & forces.


EQUILIBRIUM & TORQUE: Moments and balanced forces.


ENERGY & WORK:  W = Fd, Kinetic energy EK = ½ mv2, gravitational potential energy     EP = mgh, conservation of energy, springs (F=kx, EP = ½ kx2 ). Power.
